I have lusted after a pair of sock blockers for ages but could never find any affordable ones (I'd rather spend the money on yarn). And then the other day I chanced upon
this site where they show you how to make your own. Now when it comes to anything I have to make (knitting excluded of course) I am as ham-fisted as they come. But I decided to give it a go and here is the result:

I made 2 blockers and here are my first socks blocking.

The pattern is
Sunday Swing socks and the yarn is Miami from Bendigo Woollen Mills.

I'm rather pleased with the result.

I found the sock yarn, well at least 2 balls but I must have knit 1 of them up and ripped it out. Anyways I am sure I have another 2 balls so will let you know when I discover them. I bought sock blockers a few years ago now, nice wooden ones but I cant think of the website. Well worth the money I think.
Well, that's just all sorts of brilliant and resourceful! The socks look great!
Those blockers look pretty good to me.
I absolutely love that yarn. It's just so colorful.
How clever! I bought some plastic sock blockers not long ago, but seeing yours I might have to make some as well, the exact size I want rather than a range.
The socks are great, love the colors!!
That is so incredibly cool! I'm going to have to try that out too. Beautiful socks btw.
