Well almost! My surgery went well and my eyes are improving on a daily basis. Thanks to all for your kind thoughts and good wishes. It will take another four to six weeks for my sight to settle down but in the meantime I can see well enough to knit again!
I managed to finish another Annis. I had knitted the lace section before my surgery so I could relax and finish off the stocking stitch section without a great deal of strain.
I knitted this with Naturally Dawn 2 ply. This is a lovely 50/50 wool/silk blend and I do enjoy working with it. It is also lovely to wear but alas this shawlette is not for me. I was worried that I wouldn't have enough yarn so I replaced the nupps with beads. Why is it always so difficult to capture beads in a photo?
I hope to get back to normal knitting time the coming week. And I will try and catch up with your blogs too.

So happy that the operation went well with your eyes. You must be happy to be able to knit again now. The shawl is another lovely piece you have created!
Glad you're back and that the op went well. Beautiful shawl!
I am so glad to hear your surgery went well! I don't know how you managed without being able to knit...horrible! But, man oh man is that shawlette beautiful. Great yarn choice and a fabulous colour.
Glad all is well with your eyes. Amazing to me that you could even accomplish stocking stitch, I would have been so worried about dropping stitches.
Yet again - beautiful shawls by Amanda!
Glad to hear everything went well.
