Summer Lace: Panama Shawl

I finished my Panama Shawl yesterday.

This is a very large shawl. The KAL consisted of 10 clues and from the sixth clue onwards you were given the option of finishing the shawl. I finished my shawl after the sixth clue.

The yarn is Bendigo Woollen Mills 3 ply but I have no idea what the colourway is. It was one of those bargain buys from the famous backroom at the Mill itself. Needle size 3.5mm.

Now I am eagerly anticipating the start of the Snow Queen Pi shawl and I need to start practicing my circular cast on.

Gorgeous! And a beautiful colour! But that is one big shawl, Amanda. How much bigger would it have been if you'd done all 10 clues?

Oh it is absolutely gorgeous. I would say it is a teal green color!

Your Panama is beautiful, Amanda! The colour reminds me of my own (but I'm afraid I won't even have enough to finish the border after 6 clues...) Your shawl seems huge. Mine is a lot smaller, but then I am using 2.5 mm needles.

Your shawl has turned out beautiful and the colour is great.
I haven't even started knitting the shawl yet, but seeing yours really makes me want to start.

It turned out great! (Even with shortening the original pattern). I cut out clues 4 and 5 because mine was getting too long and am now on clue 8. I'll be interested in comparing our two shawls! It looks so beautiful, now I'm thinking I should have just knit 4 and 5 and stopped (grin!) (You can see it thus far at http://purpleworms.blogspot.com)
